Home Ownership
Sisters Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to providing affordable and energy efficient housing to families in the Sisters School District boundaries.

To date we have sold affordable homes to 67 families. Mortgage payments, for homes recently sold, average $600 per month (including property tax and insurance). These houses are sold at no profit to partner families, financed with no-interest mortgages that are issued for 30 years.

Sisters Habitat for Humanity’s criteria for selection of homeowners is based on the family’s need for adequate shelter, the ability to pay and the willingness to partner.
Homeowner families are required to invest 500 “sweat equity” labor hours prior to occupying their home.
All of our homes are built by volunteers working under the supervision of a construction manager.
